The dissertation examines the impact of globalisation on the levels of unemployment and income inequality in India and the UK. The review of literature touches on the phenomenon of globalization, globalization “waves”, anti-globalisation movement, the theory and statistics of unemployment and income inequality, the influence of globalization on the labour market, the worldwide spread of innovative technologies, etc. The methods of the research are based on the quantitative analysis of secondary data related to unemployment, income inequality, globalization, economic growth of India and the UK, increase of foreign direct investments (FDI), international trade between the two countries, etc. Conclusions are made about the advantages and drawbacks of globalization in the economic context of India and the UK.
