The paper begins by exploring the concept in relation to race and ethnicity, focusing on black and Asian communities. The paper discusses musicians in the black and Asian communities in Britain, and discusses identity issues in relation to them. The Asian communities in Bradford are also highlighted, and are discussed in relation to the cultural identity changes. Conclusions are made regarding identity and multiculturalism.
