The dissertation examines the types of errors that occur in data communication discussing equalisation techniques that can be used to reduce the error rate in data transmission. Literature is reviewed on the principles and history of data transmission, the types of data errors, the issues of error control, calculation and equalisation techniques of data error control, etc. Optimum equalisation techniques to reduce the error rate in data transmission are investigated using qualitative research methods. Conclusions are made about the error rate dimensions, antecedents, and outcomes in digital communication evaluating the effectiveness of suggested equalisation techniques.
