This paper examines focuses on strategic information systems in theme parks. The objectives of the report are to understand typical information systems used in theme parks and evaluate their capabilities in terms of strategic use to gain competitive advantage, and to understand the need for gaining customer satisfaction and loyalty in theme parks, and to understand how current processes in the use of information systems lack capabilities to gain these. The methodology is detailed, and the paper then evaluates the systems currently used in theme parks, and follows with a discussion of customer satisfaction and customer loyalty. The paper uses porters five forces analysis and value chain analysis before conclusions are made.
