Blue, Joshua

Over the course of my degree, I develop a good mix of subject specific and technical skills as well as transferable core skills, including excellent written and verbal communications skills, research skills and notably, an understanding of complex political and cultural issues. Particular skills I gained include the ability to research using a wide variety of sources. I am able to create, evaluate and assess a range of options, sifting material and weighing up arguments enabling me to critically analyse information and assess problems and arguments, reach conclusions and discuss them clearly.

Studying organisations in-depth such as the World Trade Organisation (WTO), the United Nations (UN), the European Union (EU), NATO, Security studies, Middle eastern politics, British Politics since 1914, Issues in British Politics, Foreign Policies, wars and conflicts to only name a few equips me with a solid understanding of the issues involved in international activities and more closer to home. Above all, I have an understanding of the nature and significance of politics as a global activity. The content of my knowledge will also be relevant to working within any international, governmental or non-governmental organisation (NGO).

Having being in higher education for the best part of 7 years I have acquired excellent communication and computing skills in all areas including writing clearly structured essays.
