This proposal analyses the impact of HRM practices on organisational performance in UK telecommunication companies. The main aim of the research is to analyse the link between HRM and organisational performance. The paper also aims to critically evaluate and measure the extent of training within the selected telecom companies, to analyse and measure the proportion of employee participation within team tasks, to critically access the effectiveness of reward / incentive systems implemented, and to measure and analyse the main financial and non-financial performance indicators for the selected organisations. The paper outlines the main research questions, as well as the conceptual framework. Data will be collected through use of secondary data analysis and semi structured interviews. The issues related to access and ethics is presented. The proposal concludes by summarising the benefits of the research including aspects like expansion of research knowledge.
