Using these analytical tools four organizations in the oil and gas industry are compared and contrasted: Shell, one of the world's largest oil and gas companies with production, refining and retail operations in most countries around the world, Sterling Energy, a small UK-based exploration and production company, Halliburton, one of the world’s largest oil service companies, and Red Spider, a small UK-based oil service company. Their share matrix is assessed.
