This dissertation evaluates the new emerging technology in the events industry, and gathered primary data through use of a questionnaire. The objectives are to explore the role and scope of emerging technology within the event industry, to examine the perspectives and development of using technology through the events, to analyse the technology enhancing the marketing efforts through different aspects, to measure the efficiency and the value of using various technology to achieve the event objectives, and to draw conclusions and make recommendations for the importance of using technology in the future of event industry. The review of literature discusses a range of topics, some of which include sustainable event management, the long term planning model, lighting, sound equipment, and NBIC. The methodology is then presented and details the strategy used for the investigation, as well as the primary data collection methods and hypotheses. The results are detailed, and the paper concludes with recommendations.
