The dissertation investigates the effect of aging population in Europe on the tourism industry of Mauritius. Literature is reviewed on the subject of tourism discussing the changes within the tourist industry, the social factors affecting tourism, the strategies used in marketing tourism for aged customers, etc. The methods of the research are based on the interpretivism approach to the analysis of secondary data and primary data obtained through survey questionnaires in the target group of respondents. Conclusions are made about the trend of aging in tourism to Mauritius, recommendations are suggested about the best practices of tourism marketing among the aged tourists.
