The dissertation investigates the factors that influence the choice of bank in British consumers examining consumers' banking preferences and the policies of different banks in meeting these preferences. The review of literature provides information on banking products and services requirements, different perceptions of bank consumers, the concepts of value for money, bank performance measurement, benchmarking, the features of banking in the UK, etc. The methods of research include quantitative and qualitative analysis based on primary data (in-depth interviews, open ended surveys and questionnaires) and secondary data. Conclusions are made about the preferences of UK bank consumers, recommendations are suggested about the actions that could be taken by UK banks to ensure effective feed back from their customers.
