The paper addresses the use of different accounting standards by companies, i.e. their national standards and IFRS. A comparative case study of accounting reports by Adidas and Nike is conducted presenting the history of both companies, analysing their financial ratios for 2008-2009, and showing the difference between US standards and International standards.
