The dissertation investigates the effects of free trade agreements (FTA) on international businesses offering a case study of Marks and Spenser (M&S). Literature is reviewed on the definitions of FTA, the theory of International trade, the implications of free trade for businesses, advantages and disadvantages of FTA, the background of M&S, etc. The methodology of the research is based on the analysis of secondary data and primary data obtained from an interview with a respondent from the M&S operations team. Conclusions are made about the benefits and drawbacks associated with FTA.
