The work analyses the strategic directions that Ice-Fili, the Russian ice cream manufacturing giant, should adopt in the wake of growing competition. The article suggests that Ice-Fili should indulge in making substantial investments in promotions and distributions and also consider expanding the product line. The essay has been written as an analysis of a Harvard Business School case study entitled, 'Ice Fili' written by Rukstad and co. (September 1, 2005) and refers to the BCG matrix, the Product life cycle and Ted Levitt's classic HBR article, Marketing Myopia.
