The dissertation investigates the role of total quality management (TQM) in project management and its benefits for organisational performance. Literature is reviewed on the theory of quality management (QM) including quality assurance and control, TQM features, etc. A case study is conducted of TQM practices used by the Saudi Arabian company FAD, a distributor of mechanical and electrical equipment. The methods of the research are based on the analysis of secondary data and primary data collected via questionnaires distributed among FAD stakeholders. Conclusions are made about the importance of TQM in project management and organisational productivity for FAD stakeholders. Recommendations are suggested about TQM re-engineering with regard to reward management and employee training.
