BP and Exxon Mobil are two large energy companies that in recent years appear to have chosen very different approaches to manage their Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR). In that regard, the current report describes and analyses their approaches and the results they have delivered towards addressing environmental and social concerns. More so, the report situates and rationalises the approaches via their respective adherence to Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and governance structures. On that basis, the report is able to appraise both companies' approaches by their respective contributions to society. The report also characterised society's expectation of energy companies in the next ten years.
