This paper examines the performance of Texas de Brazil restaurant chain that operates in the catering industry looking at their financial statements for 2006-2008 and conducting ratio analysis and horizontal/vertical analysis. The results are compared to the industry’s average value published by specialized reports. Two other competing companies, i.e. Carrols Restaurant Group and Landry’s Restaurant, are chosen to perform benchmark analysis.
