This presentation examines whether employees perceive the job losses resulting from the current financial crisis as a violation of the psychological contract between them and their employer. It is asserted that the psychological contract is important within the structure of firms because of the broad impact that it has on organisational outcomes. Employer and employee obligations are discussed and the impact of dubious job security examined. A case study of British Airways is used an example. There are 20 slides included in the presentation, with intermediary and explanatory commentary.
