The paper examines the harmful environmental impacts of plastics and rubber, particularly, polypropylene that is widely used in electric and electronic appliances, such as Bosch Drills (BD). The benefits and the threats of BD to the sustainability of the global environment are described, the difficulties in recycling polypropylene products are evaluated, eco-designing is suggested as a possible solution for overcoming the environmental threats of plastic usage.
