This paper examines supply chain management, and uses Argos as a case study. The paper begins by identifying the theoretical frameworks and analytical tools that are relevant to supply chain management, namely Porter’s Value Chain analysis, SWOT analysis, Vernon’s product life cycle model, Porter’s competitive advantage model, the just in time theory, MRP, ERP, and the Kanban system. The paper then examines the European Market before and after 1993, through use of the SWOT analysis.
