The dissertation looks at the increasing role of women within the Saudi Arabian (SA) workplace with the focus on the private banking sector. The review of literature touches on the theory of human resource management (HRM), the trends in SA workplace practices, the current position of women in Saudi Arabia, female participation in SA business sector, etc. A case study is conducted of the women involvement in Alryadh Bank using the methods of primary research based on questionnaires. Conclusions are made about the factors preventing women from getting promoted along the corporate ladder and the possibility of strategic change towards female participation within private organisations.
