Competition Rules
The following Competition Rules, Terms and Conditions apply to the papers4you.com 2007 Student Writing Competition. By entering this Competition, anyone who enters the Competition (the 'entrant') will be deemed to have understood these Rules along with the Terms and Conditions and to be bound by them.
1. The competition is free to enter.
2. Employees of papers4you.com, their families, marketing and advertising agencies or any persons professionally or directly involved with the competition are not eligible to enter.
3. Entries must be approximately 500 words in length. Entries less than 300 words or over 1,000 words will be deemed invalid and disqualified. The word count does not include the entry form.
4) Entries must be submitted on the official Entry Form. Multiple entries are allowed providing that each entry is submitted separately on a completed official Entry Form. Multiple entries not submitted separately will be deemed invalid and disqualified. All entries must be in English and no corrections can be made after receipt of the entry. No paper or postal entries will be accepted or qualify for the competition. Proof of emailing will not be accepted as proof of delivery and papers4you.com accept no responsibility for entries that may be corrupted, delayed in transit to the competition address, nor for any problems related to telephone networks/lines, computer systems or equipment, internet issues including traffic congestion or lost or undelivered entries.
5) All valid entries will qualify for consideration in the papers4you.com 2007 Student Writing Competition.
6) All valid entries will qualify for consideration for one of the following eleven prizes:
• A First Prize of £500
• Ten Runner Up Prizes of £50
The prizes will be paid by bank transfer. None of these prizes are transferable.
7) At time of launch the competition prizes are offered in all good faith, should events beyond the control of papers4you.com make it impossible to award these prizes, papers4you.com reserves the right to vary, without prior notice, amend or cancel the competition and entrants must agree not to hold papers4you.com liable for any loss or perceived loss they incur from such changes.
8) The entrant warrants that the SWOT analysis submitted is an original work and not a copy or substantial copy of any other work.
9) Entrants agree that, with regard to their entries, all copyright and all other rights in the nature of copyright throughout the world in the papers4you.com competition shall belong to papers4you.com and will not be returned. The entry of any SWOT analysis for the competition shall constitute that the entrant grants to papers4you.com the right, with no further permission or payment, to publish all or part of any entry or use it in any way that papers4you.com think fit including syndication or other commercial reasons and re-sell the SWOT analysis, whether in print, electronic, online or any other medium, on any website, database, archive or library, on or off-line and in any media. If you do not agree to this, please do not enter the competition.
10) Entrants agree that the sorting, selection and judgement of all entries is to be determined by papers4you.com. No correspondence regarding the sorting, selection or judgement of entries will be entered into. The judge's decisions are final in all matters concerning the competition. It is a condition of entry to this competition that the entrant agrees to be bound by these rules and that they understand that failure to do so could result in their disqualification. papers4you.com reserves the right to amend these Competition Rules, Terms and Conditions without notification. Acceptance of these Rules, Terms and Conditions also apply to any subsequent revision, whether notified or not.
11) The competition winners will be notified by email on or before the 14th February 2008. For the names of the winners, please send an email to competition@papers4you.com after this date. The First Prize winning entry will be published on the papers4you.com website.
12) The closing date for entries is 31st January 2008. Entries received after this date will not be accepted.
13) papers4you.com comply with the standards, procedures and requirements laid down by the UK Data Protection Act 1998, to ensure that the personal information you give us is kept secure and processed fairly and lawfully. No personal information is publicly accessible. Under no circumstances will your details be distributed to third parties for marketing or advertising purposes.
