This dissertation is an investigation into the selection attributes considered most important in the selection of hotel venues for both meeting planners and hotel managers. The study looks into the marketing mix and how the product plays a key part in the selection of a hotel venue. The key findings indicate the importance of price and service, and that location and image are no longer of key importance, with the augmented product now the most important aspect of the product.
