S/OM/31. Dissertation. Effects of privatization on British Energy’s Supply Chain

This paper looks to critically examine the privatization of UK electricity company British Energy. The paper will look to examine the reasons, factors and also fundamentally the effect the change had on the Supply Chain function at British Energy. By process of default therefore I will also examine the difference between a public and private organization. More specifically however, the issue under consideration is whether the changes caused to British Energy’s supply chain after its privatization led to a positive or a negative result for the company as a whole. British Energy’s Supply Chain function will form the main area of focus in this research in order to provide direction and to specify this research to better examine the effects of privatisation in the energy sector.
