S/N/132. Dissertation. Air Freight Movements at Nottingham East Midlands Airport. Developing Future environmental sustainability?

The dissertation investigates the environmental impacts of air freight movements at Nottingham East Midlands Airport (NEMA) associated with noise, emissions, etc. Literature is reviewed on the history of aviation, environmental and social problems related to aircraft noise and their possible solutions, etc. The situation is analysed from the local and global perspective seeking to forecast the effects of the air freight growth. Quantitative and qualitative research approaches are used including secondary research and primary research conducted on the basis of the data obtained through interviews. Conclusions are made about whether the environmental sustainability related to the development of aviation is achievable.
