This paper reviews recent studies concerning the "complex adaptive system" approach and it applies the theory to "management style". Statements of different writers are reviewed and discussed. It is explained how and why these reviewed concepts and theories are important to organisations and their leaders and additional it is shown how manager can apply them to their organisations. Finally, several promising points for future research are explored. The purpose of this paper is to order and advance research at complexity theory and it's application to management style. The paper provides: (1) a detailed review of past quality academic journals and attempts to draw some general insights; and (2) a research agenda that identifies approaches for the extension of research in this area.
