S/E/167 Georgia and Azerbaijan: revolution and its absence in defining the progress toward democratization and economic prosperity

The paper looks at the theory and realty of political economy defining the concept of democratization and examining the economic and political development of Georgia and Azerbaijan after the fall of Soviet Union. The features of the transition towards new socio-economic structures are described evaluating the level of freedom and prosperity in each country.
