The paper reports on the creation of a database driven website (prototype) for the cosmetic company Bruce Grove Cosmetic Centre intending to establish e-commerce. The overall scope of the project is defined; literature related to risk and security management in e-commerce is reviewed; an e-commerce website is developed describing each stage of the development process; technologies needed for the system implementation are considered; recommendations are suggested about the methods of the project implementation.
