S/B/17. Globe Maintenance Management of Innovation & Technical Change

This paper describes a medium sized organization that has grown to become relatively successful. A conglomerate holding company has recently bought Globe Maintenance and is planning to make some strategic and structural changes to Globe. The paper performs four analyses to help diagnose the situation; they are an innovation analysis, an innovator analysis, a cultural analysis and a structural analysis. These analyses are then used to draft an implementation plan for the proposed changes. Drawing on topics such as communication, education and training, resistance, compliance, commitment and reward and recognition systems. To become an innovative organization all innovation blocks must be removed and a new mindset established.
