S/B/174. Dissertation. Outsourcing: The Balancing Act (Risk - Reward Analysis)

The dissertation investigated risks and rewards associated with outsourcing and the ways of mitigating these risks. The research methodology is based on the combination of qualitative and quantitative approaches, using the methods of induction and deduction in the analysis of primary (interviews and questionnaires) and secondary data. The review of literature touches on the nature of outsourcing, types of risks, the reasons behind outsourcing failures, the issues of leadership, etc. Conclusions are made about outsourcing risk management offering recommendations concerning risk mitigation techniques.
