P/S/144. Female stereotypes and gender bias in work place

The paper examines the concept of stereotype addressing the issue of gender stereotypes in the work place and the problem of the ‹glass ceilingŒ. A review of literature on the theory of stereotyping is presented; the barriers to womenŒs progress at work are outlined discussing evaluation criteria, common prejudices, unattractiveness of competence in women, etc.
