P/OM/26. Operational management at Tyco Electronics and the ways it uses to increase operational quality

This paper discusses the operational management of Tyco Electronics, and the ways, which the company employs in order to increase the operational efficiency. The production and packaging processes are described in details. The scanning method of employees control is used at Tyco manufacture, so the advantages and drawbacks of it are highlighted there. Seasonal employees hiring method depending on the product demand is evaluated there. Finally, the quality management process is described and original Tycos methods for quality control are evaluated in terms of efficiency. The paper does not contain any references.
