The dissertation reports on the Turkish meat exports to EU describing the country’s economic background, the details of Aytac and Pinar meat companies, the difficulties facing exports to Europe, etc. The review of literature touches upon export behaviour theories, European Union’s trade barriers, the export policy of the Turkish government, etc. The case study of Aytac and Pinar is performed within the phenomenological paradigm using the inductive approach to the analysis of primary data (semi-structured interviews). Conclusions are made about the benefits and problems of Aytac and Pinar in their meat exports to EU offering recommendations to direct and indirect exporters.
