P/B/638. Dissertation. Corporate governance in Chinese joint venture companies

The dissertation aims to investigate corporate governance in Chinese Joint Venture Companies (JVC). The review of literature touches upon the on theory and definitions of corporate governance (CG) by Western and Chinese scholars, CG models in different cultures, Chinese managerial systems and culture, etc. Research methodology uses a qualitative approach in a case study of two small and medium JV companies using primary data collected through interviews. Conclusions are made about the trends in Chinese corporate governance practices.
