In order to analysis Toyota's international strategy, the paper shows the literature review at first, which includes the definitions of MNE, globalization, explanations of Toyota' joint venture and foreign direct investment (FDI) and the frameworks of PESTEL, Porter's five forces and Generic strategies. Then, it introduces the Toyota development overview; thirdly, it shows the environmental factors and the sources of competition in the global automobile industry. Fourthly, it analyses Toyota and its main competitors' strategies according to Porter’s Generic Strategies model. Finally, the analysis draws the conclusion on Toyota's key successful strategic factors; in addition, some recommendations is provided to focus on Toyota's future international business improvements.
