C/T/45. National Competitiveness in Britain: The Case of the Tourist Industry
(2007, 9300 words)
This dissertation examines tourism competitiveness in England, Scotland and Wales. Adopting Porter's (1990) perspective on national competitiveness, the dissertation tries to understand those factors that underpin tourism competitiveness in these countries, how the government contributes to these factors, and how the respective tourist boards can maintain and increase their tourism competitiveness. The dissertation would be particularly useful for anyone interested in Porter's (1990) perspective on national competitiveness.
