C/T/31. Tourism Industry of Russia

This project proposal suggests a research aimed to achieve a two-fold goal: to reveal perceptions of Russia abroad (the issue of image and country marketing) and to see if the current Russian tourism legislation is in line with relevant international norms and how it can be improved. To this end, the paper does not answer these questions, being an academic proposal, it merely suggests why these issues are important both from a scholarly and practical perspectives and why they deserve further scrutiny. The report cites the project aim and objectives, provides a critical literature review on the topic, and concludes with a thorough methodology explaining how each individual objective is to be achieved.
