C/OM/43. Master's Dissertation. Supply Chain Management in China

This dissertation has been focused on providing a comparative analysis of the supply chain management of local and foreign invested electronic companies operating in China. The dissertation has been divided into sections: Abstract, Research Questions, Literature Review, Methodology, Analysis, Findings and Conclusion. The literature review has been divided into sub categories for the ease of understanding and has targeted all the topics that are covered by the research questions. The methodology adopted for the research is ‘interpretivism’ and a multi method strategy has been adopted for the research. The methods adopted are case studies of Haier Group and Panasonic, semi-structured with their managers and data accumulation from secondary sources. A framework has also been developed in the methodology which helped organizing analysis and findings. The analysis comprises of the macro environment analysis of Chinese Electronic industry; in depth case study analysis of Haier Group’s and Panasonic’s supply chain management; and a comparative analysis has been drawn.
