C/OM/20. Zara's supply chain management approach

The present paper reviews the supply chain management approach adopted by Zara. The discussion starts with the analysis of the literature review, which highlights the importance of supply chain for sustainable business success. Besides, the review highlights the evolution of supply chain relationship from adversaries towards partners. The other issue of review is the difference between agile and lean supply chains and the importance contingent approach. Finally the paper investigates the Zara's fast fashion approach. It unveils the rational behind this approach and spots the weaknesses that might create potential threats which will undermine business success.
