The paper offers a research proposal into the current logistics system at an adhesives manufacturers company that are outsourcing much of their logistics operations to third party suppliers. The study addresses the problems incurred by lack of measurement, optimization and monitoring of the logistics function aiming to compare the existing system with the potential alternatives. Related literature is reviewed; the methods of the prospective research are described including a combination of qualitative and quantitative techniques.
