C/N/114. Removal of NOx and SOx Pollutants from the Atmosphere

The environment, pollution and global warming are buzzwords of the 21st Century. This dissertation is going to examine ways of cleaning NOx and SOx emissions into the air. Environmental sciences are essential for the creating sustainable development. There has been a lot of controversy and debate on whether releasing emissions into the atmosphere is in fact creating a negative effect on the atmosphere and the ozone layer, which includes well known terms such as greenhouse gases and global warming. The following dissertation is going to consider the importance of combating environmental pollution, especially in respects to ensuring that industry and science are working towards sustainable development. Then it will consider causes and effects of Air Pollution in general; and then it will consider the specific causes and effects of NOx and SOx gases and the available methods of purging these emissions. Then it will discuss the efficiency of catalytic ozonation and whether it is cost effective for industry to use; as well as its scientific merits for reducing SOx and NOx gases.
