A PEST analysis has been carried out in order to identify the changes that have taken place to the landscape of work world wide, with specific reference to changes within the Middle East and the Gulf States. Theories of leadership have been discussed, including theories relating to style, traits and contingency modes of leadership. It has been found that effective leadership and involvement of the subordinates is most likely to develop an effectively performing organisation.
