This paper performs a research of the UK fast food industry and its location in the 'new economy' in terms of changing environment. It was made through the UK fast food industry analysis, its market share and value, customer share, turnover, trends and future prospects. Next, the economic, demographic and social factors, which are likely to shape the industry, were examined. Those factors are: population and demographic, wealth and income level, tastes/fashion and habits and finally, available substitutes and prices. After examining of the influence of those factors on fast food market shape, the fast food industry location in the 'new economy' was evaluated. Finally, the paper concludes by highlighting the key points and restrictions of the research.
