The paper examines the aesthetic value of Westminster Abbey reviewing the work of Pevsner, Ruskin and Holgate. The aesthetics of the building are explored discussing sensory elements, technical details, formal elements and expressive elements of the Abbey, and considering the psychological transformation experienced while passing from the exterior to the interior.
